Wyse Device Manager, Version 4.4.1 Enterprise edition offers many additional features over the Workgroup edition such as:
Automatic Grouping When Rapport discovers a new device, it automatically places the device in a pre-defined group. This is very useful for large device installations and saves administrators from manually having to add a new device to a group or having to determine which group type is most appropriate for the device.
Default Device Configuration (DDC) DDC helps administrators ensure that device configurations remain consistent within specific groups of the company, allowing faster deployment of devices, easier recovery of failed devices, and lower device ownership costs for devices.
Security Uses digital certificates for secure communications between the device and the Wyse Device Manager server. This is a critical feature for organizations where security policies dictate that communications between devices on the network be secured.
Expanded Hierarchical Views and Custom Group Types Wyse Device Manager uses an organizational system based on group types and groups so that you can assign logical, hierarchical structures to your devices based on company infrastructure and organizational policies. Wyse Device Manager, Version 4.4.1 Enterprise edition supports expanded views to 30 levels deep and up to 90 custom group definitions.
Distributed Architecture Allows the components of Wyse Device Manager, Version 4.4.1 to be distributed between different CPUs in the enterprise, taking maximum advantage of CPU configurations for optimal performance of Wyse Device Manager, Version 4.4.1. Of particular note is the ability to define and use Remote Software Repositories that reduce network traffic when you need to send updates across subnets. By using their local software repository, devices on a specific subnet do not need to access the Master Software Repository across a Wide Area Network (WAN) to retrieve files. This is the best use of network bandwidth since it lets you use low-speed links to perform high-capacity updates.
Manage More Devices Enterprise edition allows management of more than 100,000,000 devices!
